Jessica writes fiction and poetry.
Her debut novel Saltwater explores mother-daughter relationships and identity in relation to place, social class and the body. It will be published by Sceptre (UK) and FSG (US) in Spring 2019 and translated in Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Greece.
She co-runs and organises events with literary and arts magazine The Grapevine.
Her work has been published by The Independent, ELLE, Somesuch Stories, AnOther, Caught by the River, Shabby Doll House, Papaya Press, HYSTERIA,The Contemporary ICA zine, and Poor Lass zine among others.
She teaches Literature and Creative Writing to adults, young people and children.
